The SPCAA HS and EHS programs provide services to 1,324 three- and four- year old children via delegate or grantee operated Head Start centers, and 48 children (birth through three), and pregnant mothers in center and home based Early Head Start operations.
Head Start services are center based. Centers are open 10 months and daily schedules vary with some starting as early as 7:30 a.m. and some ending as late as 6:00 p.m.
Early Head Start services are center and home based. All programs are full day, full year. Daily center schedules vary with parents needs.
The workforce for the HS and EHS operations for 2005-2006 include 182 employees and over 30 part-time temporary workers.
