Vision for Head Start and Early Head Start
Improve communication methods and processes to strengthen relationships within the organization - staff, parents and policy groups and with those outside of SPCAA, such as delegate agencies and other partner organizations whose missions are to serve the needs of low-income children and families.
Secure adequate resources and partnership support so as to extend Head Start services to all eligible children and families and expand Early Head Start services in all communities of the 12 counties.
Actuate program management systems that result in efficient, effective and accountable use of available resources.
Encourage higher education for staff and thereby increase capacity of program to obtain positive child outcomes and to meet individual needs of children and families. Engage teaching staff, family support workers, and program managers/supervisors with appropriate degrees and credentials in their respective areas of responsibility.
Incorporate technology in various aspects of program operations and thus improve program access, processes and outcomes.
Obtain adequate, appropriate and accessible facilities for Head Start and Early Head Start operations in all communities.
Obtain for all centers accreditation or certification status by NAEYC or the Head Start Standards of Excellence.
