South Plains Regional Housing Authority
SPRHA was organized in January 1972 under the cooperation agreement concept with the participating County Governments of Bailey, Cochran, Garza, Hockley, Lamb, Lynn, Terry and Yoakum. This unique partnership allows the Housing Authority to link its clients to an array of additional resources such as Health, Transportation, Child Care, Head Start and Community Services.
Housing Opportunities
South Plains Regional Housing Authority provides housing solutions to individuals and families who cannot find affordable and adequate housing due to income or special needs. In order to qualify for assistance, an applicant's income must meet guidelines established by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In addition, each applicant must qualify under the Housing Authoritys' own set of developed selection criteria.
We are pledged to the letter and spirit of U.S. Policy for achievement of Equal Housing Opportunity throughout the Nation. We encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin.
Mission Statement
"We are committed to the provision of safe, decent, sanitary and affordable housing to area residents in an effective and efficient manner."
