Keep office, buildings and grounds clean,
Cleans, sweeps, dust, mops floors, vacuums, remove trash and litter, general upkeep of the equipment assigned to him/her, orders and maintain inventory of custodial supplies, performs routine maintenance and minor maintenance task of housekeeping equipment, use tools safety and accurately, notify supervisor of any building needs or areas needing special repairs, follows fire safety procedures and regulations, operates heavy cleaning equipment such as scrubbing machines, high speed buffers, carpet shampooer or wet and dry vacuum, identifies cleaning problems and determines appropriate remedies.
Ensure time sheets are submitted accurately and timely electronically, ensure any on-the-job accidents are reported, report any suspected fraud and abuse, prepare requisitions for materials and supplies; maintain records of time and materials used; prepare and submit reports as required, attend meetings, trainings, and workshops as directed by management in order to learn new skills and keep up-to-date with any changes to the program requirements, may occasionally assist in the classroom
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training may be substituted for diploma, ability to understand and carry out instructions with minimal supervision, to balance a variety of duties, set priorities and meet deadlines, able to follow oral and written instructions, able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management, ability to work in a team environment and independently with good time management skills and flexibility. Must be willing to take and pass a drug/alcohol test and comply with the “Drug Free” agency policy, possess ability to provide reliable self-transportation capable of regional travel and possess and maintain valid Texas motor vehicle operator’s permit MVR and criminal background checks may be conducted by the agency. Ability to maintain physical condition and stamina appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include sitting, standing, walking, or riding in vehicle for extended periods of time, able to bend and/or squat regularly, employee must lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance or 150 lbs. with assistance, lift of 25-50 pounds, occasional pushing or pulling of weight over 20 lbs – 150 lbs, and able to climb up and down ladders for cleaning duties. Possess ability to adapt to inclement weather conditions and/or situations, ability to work in a stressful environment and deal effectively with stress and perform duties and adapt to flexible work schedules as established. Ability to travel for activities such as conducting off site cleaning, pick-up or deliver supplies, inspection of facilities
