Position Overview

SPCAA is seeking an experienced Caseworker Lead to support Child Care Services (CCS) operations through advanced case management, staff support, and compliance oversight. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate eligibility determination, efficient workflow management, and high-quality customer service.

The Caseworker Lead serves as a technical resource and assists with complex cases, recertifications, and waitlist management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and determine eligibility for CCS services
  • Oversee waitlist prioritization and case assignments
  • Coordinate recertification processes and timelines
  • Provide guidance and support to caseworkers
  • Resolve complex cases and escalations
  • Ensure compliance with TWC and Board policies
  • Support quality assurance, audits, and process improvement

Minimum Qualifications (Screening Requirements)

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3–5 years of experience in:
  • Child Care Services (CCS), OR
  • Social services, OR
  • Workforce development programs
  • Experience with eligibility determination or case management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within TWC-funded programs
  • Prior leadership, mentoring, or lead worker experience
  • Familiarity with eligibility systems and case management software

Key Skills

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage high-volume caseloads
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply policy

Work Environment

  • Office-based position (not remote)
  • Fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • May require occasional travel within the region
