Head Start Maintenance Tech

Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties at Head Start facilities; Perform minor repairs at Head Start locations; Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and fill orders for center use; Maintain floors, walls, doors, furnishings, and fixtures in a clean, safe, operable and presentable and sanitary manner; Maintain all aspects of grounds including, but not limited to grass, fences, trees, and shrubs; Ensure that grounds are safe for children; At a minimum, High School diploma; knowledge of use of janitorial equipment and supplies and grounds equipment and supplies; Available for night and weekend work as needed; Must be willing to take and pass a drug/alcohol test and comply with the “Drug Free”: Agency Policy; Must be able to pass regular criminal history checks; Must submit to TB tests as required; Ability to learn and perform First Aid, CPR; Must possess ability to provide reliable self-transportation capable of regional travel; Sufficient strength, stamina and mobility to perform essential functions and other responsibilities of the position; Able to regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time; Frequent handling of heavy equipment and furnishings; Employee must lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. with assistance; Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping and repetitive arm/hand movements required; Frequent lifting of 25-50 pounds; Occasional pushing or pulling of weight over 75 lbs
