South Plains Community Action has a part-time temporary position available for a Housing Quality Standards (HQS) Inspector responsible for inspecting homes of low-income families to obtain and maintain safe, decent, sanitary and affordable housing in compliance with the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program. The primary purpose of the HQS Inspector is to provide consistent HQS Inspection services so that our clients are ensured quality and decent living conditions. This is done by performing HQS inspections including initial inspections, annual re-certification inspections, condition inspections and all re-inspections of failed units. Ability to perform timely and accurate completion of HQS inspections. High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Hourly wage: $11.07 – $13.21.
