JOB SUMMARY
Works with WIOA Youth customers to provide direction in developing the best and quickest route to self-sufficiency. Conducts case management activities and provides supportive services to eligible customers. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all WIOA program goals and objectives are met in a timely manner.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor’s degree bachelor’s degree in social work, or related field preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be substituted for a degree. Training experience in social work, counseling, career planning, placement, or related field desired.
Knowledge of, or ability to, learn and use TWIST, WorkInTexas, and other automated reporting software/systems preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Ability to make frequent visits to the homes of assigned customers, and training provider sites, where appropriate. Ability to communicate professionally, and effectively, with customers, vendors, administration, and other employees. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to travel within service area.
