Workforce Career Service Lead Lubbock (Internal Only)

JOB SUMMARY

Reports directly to the Workforce Division Director and exercises oversight of the Core Room. Supervises and coordinates employment service activities for Workforce Solutions South Plains. Performs and/ or delegates the work inside and outside the workforce center to gather and evaluate information for development of a plan to meet the needs of job seekers.  Works collaboratively and cooperatively with all staff.  Shares pertinent customer information to ensure quality customer service.  Position requires general administrative duties, including but not limited to, reviewing, maintenance, monitoring, processing, tracking, filing, data entry, etc.  Performs duties outline by the RESEA Coordinator

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Candidate must possess and demonstrate proficiency in both verbal and written communications and basic computer skills            and be a self-starter.  
  • Strong organizational skills are essential.  
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation.  Occasional travel using a personal vehicle is required.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field preferred, not required, or a minimum of five years’ experience in sales, public relations, communications, or any equivalent combination of work experience, education, and training which provides the required level of knowledge.  
  • Experience in facilitating group orientations and presenting in a public forum is preferred. 

Must have a valid drivers license
