Proposed federal budget cuts to funding like the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) and many SPCAA programs have many of our rural communities worried about how they will be impacted. SPCAA is providing informative materials to local officials, partner organizations, and clients interested in how the proposed cuts will affect their communities.

"We want individuals particularly in our core 14 counties to be aware of what to expect if our organization were to lose vital funding sources.” said Bill Powell, SPCAA Executive Director. Those counties are Bailey, Cochran, Crosby, Dickens, Floyd, Garza, Hale, Hockley, King, Lamb, Lynn, Motley, Terry, and Yoakum, which have a combined population of nearly 120,000 individuals.
